Madelyn Jo Walker

Maddie Jo (or Jo-Jo as Griffin has nicknamed her), is 6 years old. She is in Kindergarten now and is as cute as the day is long. She has the most wonderful disposition, a silly personality and is just a sweetheart. She is extremely creative, loves to draw, color, stamp, scrapbook, paint - you name it. She's our artistic child.

She is very social and it's hard to keep her social calendar on track! She makes play dates with girls at school that I never know about and when we "miss" them, I hear about it. (Had I known about them in the first place, it would have helped!) So we've come to an agreement that she needs to tell me about them so we can work something out.

She is in her third year of ballet now, also taking tap this year, is playing basketball, along with gymnastics once a week and will start playing T-ball in the Spring. She's also mentioned we need to sign her up for tennis lessons and piano lessons now that we have Grandma's piano in our house. Whew! She's going to keep us busy.

Thomas Griffin Hart Walker

Griffin is now four years old! It's hard to believe that much time has passed since he completed our family. He is very energetic, extremely handsome (as he says, and we agree!), and just the sweetest boy who loves to give his Mommy tons of kisses (which she happily accepts!) He loves anything to do with trains, dinosaurs and Star Wars. He's always got something funny to say and keeps us laughing. He loves to help Daddy with whatever it is he's doing and very proud when he's done a good job supervising.

He is in preschool 3 days a week and is so disappointed when it's not his day to go to school. He is one of only 3 boys in his class, so they have a sweet bond with each other being in the minority. I guess they really have to stand together with 13 other girls in class to boss them around!

Griffin is our analytical child.... he loves to figure out how things work. Fortunately, he's not disassembling things yet, however, I think that may happen soon. He is also playing basketball, is in his first gymnastics class and will start his first season of T-ball in the Spring. He was devastated last year when Maddie Jo got to play and he didn't, so he's really excited about playing this year.

Today is the day!

I've been trying for months, many months, to start a blog for our family so that our long distance friends and family can keep up with us. Finally, I'm doing it. My goal is to update at least weekly with everything we are doing so you can enjoy our life along with us. I hope you love watching our children grow up as much as we do! We are so blessed with two beautiful, healthy children and we just love every minute we get to spend with them. They bring us so much happiness and we are extremely proud of the little ones they are. Welcome to our family website! Please visit often.
